The Plating Associate who will play a key role in the vinyl record production process by supporting the plating department. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation, plating, and finishing of metal stampers used in the pressing process.

Description

As a key part of the Paramount team, you’ll help ensure that every product leaving our facility meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and care. Your day-to-day will include: 

  • Assist with the electroforming process to create nickel metal parts for vinyl pressing.
  • Handle and prepare lacquer masters and mothers with care to avoid damage.
  • Operate and maintain plating equipment in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
  • Monitor chemical baths, ensuring correct concentrations and temperatures are maintained.
  • Inspect plated parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Safely handle chemicals and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Document production data and process details accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments (Pressing, Packaging, Shipping) to ensure smooth workflow and product quality.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development opportunities.

To thrive as a Plating Associate at Paramount, you’ll bring a mix of skills, flexibility, and a passion for quality. Here's what we’re looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, plating, or similar industrial environments is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and in an environment that may include exposure to noise and heat.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes and equipment.


Shift and Schedule:

  • Full-time position 
  • Shifts may vary based on production needs
  • Must be available to work 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, with the possibility of overtime or weekends as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation and ability to commute to the facility to meet your scheduled shifts consistently.

Salary

$25 - $30 per hour
