Senior Dealer Success Manager
Parabolic Auto — Chicago, IL (hybrid/in-office preferred)
About Parabolic Auto
Parabolic Auto is a venture-backed startup transforming how automotive dealerships sell vehicle service contracts (VSCs) and other F&I products. We combine dealer-outbound contact center operations with DMS-sourced data and technology to drive higher penetration, better customer experience, and stronger dealer partnerships. We’re a small, fast-moving team working directly with major F&I distribution partners and growing dealer groups across the country.
The Role
We’re hiring the first member of our dealer-facing sales team to own the full relationship with our dealership customers — from onboarding through renewal and expansion. You’ll be the single point of contact for our dealer partners: running point on sales conversations for warm introductions and inbound interest, onboarding new dealerships, managing the ongoing relationship and program performance, and serving as the internal voice of the customer to our product and engineering teams. You’ll report directly to the CEO. This is an individual-contributor role, not a people-management role, though it’s foundational to how we build out the team over time.
This is a hybrid sales/customer success/product role. You’ll need to be equally comfortable closing a deal, walking a dealer GM through a monthly performance report, and helping prioritize which new product Parabolic should build next based on what actually moves the needle for a dealership’s bottom line.
What You’ll Do
- Sales & Onboarding - Run point on warm introductions and inbound sales conversations with prospective dealership customers, working alongside the founders Serve as the primary onboarding contact - guiding new dealers through setup, data integration, and go-live, with fluency in dealership operations, DMS data, and cybersecurity/compliance requirements Manage the ongoing dealer relationship post-launch - check-ins, program optimization, and renewal conversations
- Customer Success & Product - Act as the “voice of the customer” internally — synthesizing dealer feedback into clear, prioritized input for the product and engineering teams. Build a working understanding of how dealership F&I offices and dealer P&Ls actually make money, and use that to help prioritize Parabolic’s product roadmap (auto insurance, auto loan refinancing, trade-in generation, service appointment booking) for maximum dealer take rate - Own rollout of new products and features to existing dealers as they ship (the “farmer” side of a hunter/farmer model) - De-escalate and resolve issues with frustrated dealer partners, owning the relationship through hard conversations
- Reporting & Analytics - Build and deliver monthly performance reports and walk-throughs for each dealership account - Self-serve on reporting — comfortable customizing queries and pulling/interpreting performance data without needing an analyst - Track account health metrics and flag at-risk accounts proactively
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in customer success, account management, or a similar client-facing role — automotive dealership, F&I, or dealer tech experience strongly preferred given the depth of dealer-economics fluency this role requires.
- A working understanding of (or fast ability to learn) how dealership F&I offices and dealer P&Ls generate profit — this directly shapes how we prioritize and roll out new products
- A track record of both retaining and growing accounts —comfortable selling and upselling, not just servicing
- Comfortable working with data and reporting tools; full self-serve query-writing is a plus but not a hard requirement
- Excellent interpersonal skills — calm, credible, and effective at de-escalating upset customers
- A product mindset — genuinely curious about why something isn’t working for a customer, not just reporting that it is
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ownership; this is a build-it-yourself role at a small company
Why This Role
You’ll be the face of Parabolic to every dealer we work with, with direct influence over product direction and a real stake in the company’s growth. This is a rare seat for someone who wants ownership over a full customer relationship — sales, success, and product — rather than being boxed into one lane.
