The Public Relations and Outreach Coordinator will focus on outreach and content management curation and creation, while ensuring an effective SEO strategy is implemented correctly. This position will also engage in promoting or creating an intended public image for the organization, and may also write or select material for release to various communications media.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create public relations strategies that will promote the organization's mission and goals.
  • Write press releases or other media communications to promote the organization to the community and potential funders.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of the community, organizational stakeholders, and potential funders.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan to reach the community and potential client groups.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's corporate image and identity, which includes the use of the company logo and signage.
  • Respond to requests for information about the organization's activity and status.
  • Evaluate advertising and promotion programs for compatibility with public relations efforts.
  • Formulate policies and procedures related to public relations efforts.
  • Prepare or edit organizational publications such as employee newsletters or reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Consult with advertising agencies and staff to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of media.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Please note that this position requires the employee to engage in fundraising activities to secure a portion or all of their salary. Candidates with a strong background in fundraising and development or encouraged to apply.
