 Commercial Cleaning Technician

 

 

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Owner-Operator

Location: CSRA Region (Augusta, Aiken, North Augusta & surrounding areas)

Employment Type: Part-Time (Evenings) | Opportunity for Full-Time as business grows

 

 

 

 

Position Summary:

 

 

As a Commercial Cleaning Technician at Palmetto Facilities Group LLC, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning and janitorial services in a professional, efficient, and detail-oriented manner. You will help maintain safe and sanitary environments at client locations, both under Jan-Pro contracts and private service agreements. This role requires reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently while representing the Palmetto brand.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules as assigned for each facility
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in office, restroom, and common areas
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces
  • Dust furniture, windowsills, and equipment
  • Restock paper products and cleaning supplies where applicable
  • Empty and replace trash liners in waste receptacles
  • Secure client keys or access codes; lock up sites upon completion
  • Adhere to all PPE and safety procedures, including use of chemicals
  • Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly
  • Maintain a professional appearance and wear required uniform

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience a plus, but not required
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
  • Trustworthy with client property and confidential workspaces
  • Must be able to pass background screening and eligibility verification (I-9)
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled evening shifts

 

 

 

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

 

  • Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and carry equipment up to 30 lbs
  • Able to walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions

 

 

 

 

 

Uniform & Equipment:

 

 

  • Jan-Pro branded shirt provided and required
  • Employee must supply khaki pants and slip-resistant shoes
  • Cleaning tools and PPE provided by the company

 

 

 

 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

 

 

  • Starting at $12–$15/hour based on experience]
