Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with routine clinical procedures and patient care.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Measure and record patient vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Clean and stock examination rooms between patients.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required (if applicable).
- Previous experience in a physician's office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
