Qualifications:

  • A passion for residential architectural and interior design and a strong sense of aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, SmartDraw, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience or education in interior design or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to create detailed plans, layouts, and 3D renderings for residential remodeling projects.
  • Assist in selecting materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture that align with the design vision.
  • Conduct research on current design trends, products, and materials to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of sample materials and efficient client project selections.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and visual aids to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
  • Participate in site visits to assess project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide support in maintaining project documentation, facilitating estimates, monitoring permitting, budgets, and material specifications.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain design progress, estimates, permitting, and selections for design projects.
  • Assist with the design of projects from conception through completion.
  • Specify materials, take measurements, and manage quantity for orders.
  • Create project documentation, including inventory, organization, and cataloging of all interior finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
  • Provide support in preparing presentations and visual aids to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
