RN for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Practice

Minimum Qualifications:

• RN license in PA
• Willingness to learn and progress along our training track
• Experience using various patient monitoring software and technical solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Consistent professional appearance and attitude
• High energy, respectful personality and works well in team settings
• Must pass a background check, education verification, and drug screen

Duties Include:

• Pre-op patients. Verify patient, consent, and procedure.
• Review health history and enter info into EMR and anesthesia record.
• Skilled starting IVs.
• Conduct asynchronous consults in coordination with surgeon and assistants.
• Pre-operative and post-operative calls to patients.
• Recovering patients post-procedure.
• Contact Referring Doctors when needed to obtain accurate health history or optimize the patient prior to surgery (aka clearance).
• Schedule prep including verifying referrals, confirming health clearances obtained, and loading in applicable consents into patient portal.
• Maintain clinical hierarchy between nurses and surgical assistants

Schedule:

• 10 hours per shift, Full Time hours - 40 per week
• Office Hours: Monday Through Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm
