Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manager to join our Oral Surgery office. This role will work direct and delegate to 1-2 Billing Coordinators and is crucial for ensuring the efficient processing of payments and insurance claims. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of dental insurance billing experience and a strong understanding of state and private insurance plans. Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for dental procedures prior to treatment.
- Claims Submission: Prepare and submit accurate claims to state and private insurance companies, ensuring compliance with their policies and procedures.
- Payment Processing: Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Account Management: Maintain and update patient billing records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding their insurance benefits, billing inquiries, and outstanding balances.
- Collections: Assist with collections of outstanding balances, including setting up payment plans and following up on overdue accounts.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports, track claim status, and identify areas for improvement in billing processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team and front desk team to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate coding for procedures performed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance issues in dental billing practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in dental insurance billing.
- Proficient in working with state and private insurance plans.
- Experience billing medical claims
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, coding, and billing practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in billing software and MS Office Suite.
