Ozer Engineering is looking for a motivated Site Assessment Technician to support our residential and small commercial field assessments. You'll work closely with a licensed Structural Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in real-world conditions and building a strong technical foundation with room to grow into more advanced assessment and reporting work as you gain experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform site visits, including crawlspaces and attics, in dirty or confined environments (PPE required)
- Work outdoors in extreme temperatures when necessary
- Drive your own reliable vehicle to and between job sites (mileage reimbursed)
- Read and interpret 2D drawings on-site to understand how they relate to the physical structure
- Collect accurate field notes, measurements, and photos using a phone, drone and/or robot. (Training provided)
- Document findings in CompanyCam tagging photos and adding notes on-site
- Track and organize project data in Airtable
- Assist with technical reports and documentation
- Communicate findings clearly with team members and clients
Essential Skills
- Reading technical/construction drawings
- AutoCAD or CAD software

- Concrete and steel construction methods

Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Construction Technology, Drafting, CAD, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with concrete and steel construction methods preferred
- Comfortable using field apps and software for documentation (or willing to learn)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and use protective equipment
