As a Principal Consultant, Client Partner at Oxalis, you will play a pivotal role in driving our success in California public sector through innovative and strategic solutions. This role is based in Northern California within a two-hour drive of Sacramento.
Duties
- Lead and mentor teams of consultants and technical specialists, guiding them to solve high-impact problems and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Manage multiple engagements within one or two large public sector customers, taking full ownership of project outcomes and ensuring successful execution.
- Navigate solicitation and procurement processes within public sector organizations, consulting and providing experience-informed perspectives to internal, external, and partner stakeholders.
- Deliver high-value solutions that exceed customer expectations, using a customer-focused approach to achieve measurable outcomes. Ensure deliverables exhibit the thought leadership and quality that Oxalis is known for.
- Consult on Enterprise Service Management, IT Service Management, Agile software product development, and Project and Portfolio Management operating models, identifying pain points and providing expert guidance to align solutions with client goals.
- Grow sales bookings and revenue of customer portfolio.
- Analyze business processes, systems, and workflows to identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and establish evaluation criteria for solutions.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executive-level customers, through clear presentations and active listening.
- Develop and deliver high-quality, customer-facing deliverables and presentations, ensuring alignment with our commitment to quality.
- Manage the full solution lifecycle, from initial scoping and design to post-implementation support and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other Oxalis leaders in leading the operations of our business and contribute directly to the growth of Oxalis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant work experience will also be considered.
- At least twelve years of experience in customer-facing roles with proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proven record of customer portfolio growth with strong in-account year-of-year sales and renewals.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to travel to company and customer sites as needed.
- Experience working effectively in hybrid and remote environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Align, Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello, and Guard.
- Experience in enterprise program governance, project and portfolio management, and PMO’s.
- Demonstrated experience in engagement leadership with public sector accounts that lead to additional engagements.
- Demonstrated experience applying Agile concepts and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps, and ITSM.
- Certifications and accreditations in Atlassian, IFS, SAFe, ITIL, and PMP.
- Proficiency in project management concepts and tools, including planning, estimation, and risk management.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within diverse teams.

This role may be filled at either the Principal Consultant or Senior Principal Consultant level based on past performance. This role is based in Sacramento, California, with up to 20% travel to other areas of California.
