Job Purpose 

The role of the Taproom Manager at Outer Range is crucial to the company's success.. The taproom is the public’s direct view into the brand and beer. For this reason it is the Taproom Managers role to create a welcoming and fun environment for our customers where they can experience great beer. The Taproom Manager is responsible for all parts of the taproom including: beer quality, maintenance, customer experience, cleanliness, and staff culture.

Requirements

3-5 years Managerial experience

7-10 years experience in the Craft Beer space

Your Direct Team

The Taproom Manager reports directly to the General Manager and Admin team.  The taproom team directly reports to the Taproom manager- this includes the Taproom Leads and Bartenders

Duties and Responsibilities

• 1-on-1’s with all taproom staff biweekly
• Weekly Meeting with Bar Leads to improve the Taproom
• Providing proper information to staff through the weekly email and Slack communication platforms
• Verifying correct training of new staff members
• Scheduling the taproom staff
• Ensuring Tap Line Cleaning is done every two weeks
• Managing taproom staff to meet Taproom standards
• Updating menus (Untapped, Taplist, BarTrack, POS) with new beers
• Ensuring the cleanliness standard of the taproom and building is being met
• Managing events and coordinating with the marketing team, Mountain Dweller, and Bird Craft
• Coordinating beer movement with Sales if needed
• Checking for quality on all beers
• Communicating merchandise needs with marketing team
• Volunteer a minimum of two hours each quarter

• Taproom Revenue
• Reviews (Google and Secret Hopper)
• Staff engagement and satisfaction
• Meeting volunteer requirements of two hours each quarter

Communication Skills

Must have excellent communication skills. You are working directly with the entire taproom team and you also work alongside production as we share the building. Being able to communicate effectively, efficiently, and clearly. Maintaining professionalism and positivity is crucial.
