JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY

The Role of the Taproom Bartender is to be the window into the brand, for our customers. They are showing customers unmatched service and providing them with quality beer, for an amazing experience every time they enter the building.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Positive attitude and communication is crucial to this role- a no tolerance policy for bullying, spreading misinformation about other employees or the company, etc. 

Opening Duties

• Prepping the bar properly
• Take stoppers out of all taps
• Fill water bottles for cleaning side of beer glasses after pours
• Checking keg inventory and making necessary adjustments to stay stocked for the day
• Maintaining stocks of wine bottles and beer cans
• Updating Tap Boards as needed
• Track beers poured on POS and BarTrack
• Turn on spotify for the building
• Unlock all furniture and set it up correctly for customers to have space and sit

Shift Duties

• Being available and engaging with customers
• Helping customers choose a beer
• Check in on customers throughout the taproom
• Working with and helping other team members
• Un-kegging empty kegs and kegging new ones
• Playing appropriate music at all times
• Keep track of beer and keg inventory in BarTrack and our POS
• Convey knowledge of craft beer

Maintain the Taproom Cleanliness

• Gather glassware for cleaning
• Helping maintain taproom furniture and cleanliness
• Wiping down bar in between customers for clean presentation
• Pick up broken glass
• Take trash and recycling out

Closing Duties

• Last call
• Break down back bar
• Remove drain shelves and wash thoroughly
• Clean drain area, hot water and alcohol solution
• Put alcohol solution up taps
• Put disinfected tap stoppers on all taps
• Wipe down area
• Repeat on front bar
• Collect all leftover glass and trash from building 
• Take out trash and recycles
• Reorganize any moved furniture inside the building
• Stack and lock all outside furniture with cables in office
• Wipe down ALL surfaces
• Take out all empty kegs from the day
• Move all mats from behind bar and clean them
• Mop behind the bar
• Close all open tabs
• Count the register and put correct amount in safe
• Empty water from dishwasher and turn it off
• Lock all doors and coolers

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Outer Range is proud to be a part of the Summit Foundation 1% pledge. We donate products, money, and labor hours. Our community outreach coordinator has a number of relationships with organizations in the county that need support for the betterment of our community. As an Employee at Outer Range Brewing, you are obligated to serve 2 hours of community service a quarter. This is 20.00/hour for hourly employees and part of the quarterly expectations for salaried individuals. Outer Range will compensate its hourly employees for up to 10 hours a quarter.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

You must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work long hours on foot. This is a strenuous job that requires a lot of physical effort and energy.

To achieve this commitment, we require every employee to give two hours to the community every quarter. Outer Range will pay for your time, up to 10 hours a quarter.

Disciplinary action will be taken for any breach.

MOBILITY / FLEXIBILITY

Your normal place of work will be 182 Lusher Ct. Frisco Colorado 80443, but as a term of your employment you may be required to work from any of the organization's establishments depending on where events take place. Outer Range Brewing Co. has company cars and transportation will always be available to the team for events when necessary.
