JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY

As a Taproom Bartender, you are the face of Outer Range Brewing Co.—bringing our brand to life through excellent service, genuine hospitality, and a passion for craft beer. You’ll create memorable guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Opening Duties

  • Prepare and set up the bar and taproom for a smooth shift.


  • Check keg, wine, and can inventory; restock as needed.


  • Update tap boards and POS systems.


  • Setup taproom according to the opening checklist.


  • Setup Merchandise area.


Shift Duties

  • Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service.


  • Engage guests in beer education and recommendations.


  • Support teammates and foster a collaborative work environment.


  • Monitor and update keg/beer inventory using BarTrack and POS.


  • Ensure music and overall vibe enhance the guest experience.


Taproom Cleanliness

  • Keep the bar and taproom consistently clean and welcoming.


  • Clear and wash glassware, wipe down surfaces, and reset between guests.


  • Maintain furniture, handle trash/recycling, and address spills or broken glass quickly.


Closing Duties

  • Deliver a smooth last call and thorough clean-up of all bar areas.


  • Sanitize taps, stoppers, drains, shelves, mats, and surfaces.


  • Remove empty kegs, take out trash/recycling, and reset furniture.


  • Close out registers, secure cash, and lock up the building.

Additionally, each employee contributes at least 2 hours of community service per quarter. ORB compensates hourly employees for up to 10 hours per quarter of volunteer work.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

You must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work long hours on foot. This is a strenuous job that requires a lot of physical effort and energy.

To achieve this commitment, we require every employee to give two hours to the community every quarter. Outer Range will pay for your time, up to 10 hours a quarter.

All staff must be aware of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Human Rights Act 1998. The protection of data about individuals is a requirement of the law and if any employee is found to have permitted unauthorized disclosure, the organization and the individual may be prosecuted. Disciplinary action will be taken for any breach.


MOBILITY / FLEXIBILITY

Your normal place of work will be 182 Lusher Ct. Frisco Colorado 80443, but as a term of your employment you may be required to work from any of the organization's establishments depending on where events take place. Outer Range Brewing Co. has company cars and transportation will always be available to the team for events when necessary.


NO SMOKING POLICY

Outer Range Brewing Co. operates a smoke free policy which means that smoking is not allowed anywhere on company sites including buildings, car parks and entrances.
