The Outdoor Inclusion Coalition is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Social Media Intern for Summer 2026. This stipend-based role is expected to average up to 10 hours per week and will support the organization’s digital storytelling by capturing and creating content that highlights youth programs, community partnerships, outdoor experiences, and organizational impact. The intern will help strengthen the Coalition’s online presence while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, brand storytelling, and content strategy, with access to OIC-owned photography and recording equipment to support content creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capture photo and video content during camps, events, partner activities, and community programs
- Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Draft captions, stories, reels, and short-form video content aligned with the organization’s voice and mission
- Organize digital assets, including photos, testimonials, event recaps, and participant highlights
- Collaborate with staff to surface stories that reflect youth voice, community impact, and partner engagement
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong creative, editing, and organizational skills
- Comfort capturing content on a camera
- Basic experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar design and editing tools
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute collaboratively with staff
REQUIREMENTS
- Comfort in an outdoor setting for extended periods of time
- Strong verbal communication
- PA State Act 151 Child Abuse, PA State Act 34 Criminal Background Check and FBI Background check*
- Mandated Reporter training*
- Flexibility to work where necessary on the weekend and evenings
