Lead Cook for the new food bus at Cotton Patch Landing!

Outdoor Adventure Retreats is seeking a skilled and experienced cook to run the new food bus at Cotton Patch Landing in Chocowinity, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a ServSafe Certificate, significant cooking experience, and an entrepreneurial mindset to shape this exciting new dining experience. Operating hours will initially be on Saturdays and Sundays only.


Compensation:

This position offers a revenue share arrangement where the cook will receive a percentage of the food bus's net revenue. Exact terms will be discussed during the interview process.


Job Duties:

  • Menu Development:
  • Collaborate with management to create a unique and appealing menu.
  • Adjust pricing and offerings based on customer preferences and input.
  • Food Preparation:
  • Prepare and cook food to high-quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to ServSafe and health department guidelines.
  • Ingredient Sourcing:
  • Assist in sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients while managing costs.
  • Kitchen Operations:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully compliant kitchen environment.
  • Manage inventory and ensure necessary supplies are always stocked.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Deliver exceptional service to create a welcoming dining experience for customers.
  • Operations Oversight:
  • Work collaboratively to determine the food bus's operating hours and ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

  • ServSafe Certificate: A valid ServSafe Certificate is mandatory.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen or food truck environment.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to take ownership of operations, adapt to challenges, and contribute to the success of the business.
