Wanee Lake Golf & RV Park is a scenic 9-hole golf course and RV park that prides itself on providing a top-quality experience for golfers and RV guests alike. We are seeking an Assistant Greenskeeper/Golf Course Superintendent to join our team and help maintain our course to the highest standards.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Greenskeeper/Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for daily maintenance of the golf course, ensuring that the grounds are well-kept and in optimal playing condition. This role involves performing a variety of tasks, from mowing and trimming to irrigation management, pest control, and general landscape upkeep.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance on greens, fairways, tees, and roughs, including mowing, trimming, and raking
• Assist in the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments as needed
• Operate and maintain equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
• Manage irrigation, ensuring proper watering levels for healthy turf
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on landscaping equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment
• Monitor the course for any issues related to turf health, pests, or drainage and report to management as needed
• Assist in special projects, renovations, and other improvement initiatives on the course
• Assist in planning and arranging golf tournaments and golf events

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping
• Basic knowledge of turf management and irrigation systems
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work on your feet for extended periods
