OCC provides infant through preschool programs. We continuously meet and exceed best practices, as well as state rules, regulations, and guidelines. With low teacher turnover, student ratios as low as 2 to 1, and an active parent-led Board of Directors, we are looking for a passionate addition to our special community.

OCC provides infant through preschool programs. We are currently seeking an Infant Teacher with a truly nurturing approach to teaching and with strong experience and training in physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development appropriate for ages 12 months through 18 months.


We continuously meet and exceed best practices, as well as state rules, regulations, and guidelines. With low teacher turnover, student ratios as low as 2 to 1, and an active parent-led Board of Directors, we are looking for a passionate addition to our special community.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Strong lesson planning capabilities in order to develop age-appropriate curricula for play-based learning;
  • Initiative to implement creative ways to engage children and encourage their self-confidence and independence, including through circle time and free play;
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively with other teachers and OCC’s Director;
  • Flexibility to adapt to OCC’s changing needs; and
  • Willingness to participate in occasional evening enrichment events to promote and strengthen the OCC community, as well as continuous educational and training programs.


Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Reliable, strong work ethic and availability to work a 40-hour week, M-F, between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm
  • Background in Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development Associates preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in teaching and lesson planning
  • Passionate about the development and well-being of children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • First Aid & CPR training

Salary

$18 - $21 per hour
