Orion Protection and Investigations is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Investigator to join our team. The successful candidate will conduct thorough and ethical investigations, gather evidence, and prepare comprehensive reports. This role requires strong investigative skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations, including but not limited to:
  • Surveillance
  • Background checks
  • Skip tracing
  • Asset searches
  • Interviews
  • Evidence collection
  • Utilize investigative tools and techniques, including but not limited to:
  • Cameras, video recorders, and audio recording devices
  • Computer forensics and data analysis
  • Open-source intelligence gathering
  • Social media research
  • Prepare detailed and accurate investigative reports, documenting all findings and observations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all investigative activities.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, including Florida Statute Chapter 493.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Private Investigator License or able to be licensed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong investigative and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Firearms Proficiency
  • Valid Vehicle Insurance
  • No criminal convictions
  • No excessive citations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, or a related field
  • Knowledge of investigative techniques and surveillance methods
  • Proficiency in Spanish or other relevant languages

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move around for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights
  • Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions
