This role may be available at an Associate PM or PM level depending on experience. As a Project Manager on the commercial team, you will participate in and support commercial operations / business development activities as the company’s partnerships with the broader Cell Therapy industry are vetted, cultivated, managed to successful delivery of work product(s), and closed. This is an opportunity to manage internal and external collaboration in multiple client projects from contract execution to project closure. These contracts can include tissue and cellular raw material supply chain establishment and management, process development services, clinical manufacturing services, and clinical trial sample processing services. This position requires effective collaboration with all departments within OrganaBio, as well as with clients’ supply chain, process development, manufacturing, QA/QC/regulatory, and clinical research points of contact.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Acts as the point of contact for client programs assigned, assist in communicating project milestone and deliverable updates internally and externally
  • Supports acquisition of new customer service contracts and drives execution to meet deliverables
  • Meets with customers, along with Sales/BD team, to understand customer specifications for process development and manufacturing services work
  • Communicates customer needs/specifications internally • Liaises with key internal stakeholders to generate Bill of Materials, Cost of Goods, and timelines for project proposals
  • Works with VP, Corporate Development to determine pricing and fee schedules for projects
  • Manages project workflows to track to milestones and deliverables under each service contract
  • Coordinates internal departments/functions to meet timelines and deliverables
  • Liaises with customer for consistent and effective communication of timelines and deliverables o Manages timelines, Gantt charts, budgets for projects
  • Facilitates internal discussions to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are being met
  • Ensures project challenges and risks are being identified and determine resolution pathways with relevant stakeholders
  • Adheres to developed project management systems within OrganaBio
  • May have other duties and responsibilities as required

Requirements -

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, project management, or a similar field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role interfacing with external clients. Experience in a cell therapy company/cell therapy service provider/CDMO preferred
  • Hands-on process development/cell culture/cell manufacturing technical experience preferred
  • Proven track record of being able to manage multiple projects/workflows against aggressive timelines
  • Proven track record of excellence, including the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customer accounts
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet or similar project management software • Strong oral and written communication skills. Highly organized individual
  • Comfortable with working in a true start-up environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet business and/or customer needs
  • Maintain honesty, integrity and an excellent work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and listening skills
