Registered Nurse (RN) — Oral Surgery Practice

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Registered Nurse to join our oral surgery practice. This position is based in an outpatient oral surgery office, where you will work closely with oral surgeons and the clinical team to care for patients before, during, and after oral surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate brings strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgment, and a calm, reassuring approach to helping patients feel comfortable and informed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before procedures, including reviewing medical histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs.
• Support oral surgeons and the clinical team during procedures within your nursing scope of practice and established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient responses.
• Monitor patients during recovery and communicate changes in condition promptly.
• Educate patients and caregivers on preoperative preparation, postoperative care, and discharge instructions.
• Provide reassurance and compassionate support to patients who may feel anxious about surgery.
• Recognize and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic patient records.
• Follow infection prevention practices and ensure clinical equipment and supplies are ready for patient care.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in continuing education.

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid Registered Nurse license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and emergency response skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and patient care technology.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize patient needs and remain calm under pressure.
• Interest in providing nursing care in an outpatient oral surgery setting.
