Optimize Consulting LLC Key Account Manager Remote · Full time Company website

Key Account Managers own Optimize Consulting's client relationships. You manage up to 10 accounts, which can include nonprofits that rely on us for fundraising strategy and direct response programs as well as businesses that rely on us for revenue operations and HubSpot work. Our clients vary from libertarian and conservative advocacy organizations to B2B sales organizations, and you will coordinate and sometimes write content on their behalf. You are each client's main point of contact and the person who keeps their work on schedule, from content approvals to monthly results. You report to the VP of Client Services and start with a structured onboarding on our clients, services, and tools.

About Optimize Consulting LLC

Optimize Consulting is a revenue operations and moves management firm. We help organizations of any size transform how revenue flows through them. Our clients range from some of the most respected nonprofits working for free markets and free people to global enterprises and growing businesses, and our work has helped them generate more than $125 million in revenue.

We bring enterprise-level strategy and technology to every engagement and run our own firm the same way. Shared methodologies like Getting Things Done keep our fully remote team aligned and working ahead, so deadlines rarely turn into fire drills.

We are partner-owned, independent, and growing quickly. If you have spent years grinding inside a nonprofit or agency and want work you can be proud of without giving up your evenings, Optimize Consulting is built for you.

Description

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the main point of contact for your clients: lead recurring account calls, set agendas, and send follow-ups with clear owners and dates.
  • Turn client requests into detailed Asana tasks and move each account's work through drafting, proofing, approval, and deployment.
  • Manage each account's content and project calendar, and coordinate the specialists who deliver the work, including our content production, major gifts, grants, and digital marketing teams.
  • Coordinate deliverables with our content production team, and make minor edits or write simple pieces as you get comfortable with each account.
  • Compile a monthly Key Account Report for each client covering results against goals, campaign and content performance, and next steps, and present it to the client and to our leadership team.
  • Track account health and flag risks early, including goals that are off track or signs that a client may reduce services.
  • Look for ways to bring more value to each account, and recommend new campaigns or services when they fit a client's goals.

What Success Looks Like

At 90 days, you run calls, agendas, and approvals on your accounts on your own, your Asana projects are current, and you have delivered your first monthly Key Account Reports. At one year, clients treat you as their primary strategic contact, your accounts show measurable progress toward their annual goals, and you raise risks and new opportunities to the VP of Client Services before they become problems.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of experience managing client relationships at an agency, consulting firm, or nonprofit, including leading meetings and handling difficult conversations.
  • Working knowledge of direct response fundraising or digital marketing: email, text, landing pages, and how their results are measured.
  • Clear, prompt written communication: your agendas, follow-ups, and reports leave no question about who owns what.
  • Diligence: you proof everything before it goes to a client and catch problems before clients do.
  • Strong organization: you track tasks across several accounts in a reliable system, hit due dates, and communicate early when something has to move.
  • Ownership of your own week: you plan your work, keep commitments without reminders, and raise problems early.

Helpful to Have

  • Agency or consulting experience serving several clients at once
  • HubSpot experience or certifications, or experience with Salesforce, Virtuous, or a comparable donor CRM
  • Experience with Asana or a similar task management platform, or familiarity with Getting Things Done
