Optigon is a startup based out of Greentown Labs that is developing smarter quality control tools and research instruments for clean energy materials. We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2025
Description
Overview
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to help lead the design, development, and testing of Optigon's next generation measurement tools and analysis software. Applicants interested in data science, front end, back end, and high performance code are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering team to define technical specification
- Design and develop code in existing and new projects
- Participate in design reviews to provide feedback and suggest improvements
- Assist in development of infrastructure and procedures
- Document designs, test results, and other relevant information
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency with one or more of the following: python, C/C++, Javascript/HTML/CSS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project
- Excellent communication and willingness to work on a team
- Prior experience with software development, high performance code, or embedded development is a plus
