We are seeking someone to build out Operant’s key backend command and control capabilities that help secure modern cloud native applications. Description
Responsibilities
- Build the backend command and control capabilities to secure cloud native apps, integrated with a variety of cloud provider services
- Develop scalable and resilient code that meets rapidly increasing scale requirements of our customer deployments and end users
- Embed security best practices within code development
- Think through well-reasoned architectural choices to meet stability and performance, while being agile
- Document and communicate design decisions with the broader team to support a remote, asynchronous work culture
- Function independently while being able to make technical choices in the presence of unknowns
- Work closely with customers through MVP onboarding
- Take active interest in understanding customer problems while building features in an iterative manner
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience of hands-on microservices based backend development in a fast paced engineering org
- Experience with Kubernetes, Golang and good understanding of networking layers L3-L7+ required
- Experience with REST/ GRPC/ Graphql, C++/Rust/Webassembly is preferred
- Experience contributing to open source community projects in the cloud native space is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a remote team
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or similar equivalent industry experience is preferred
Bonus Points
- Awareness of Cloud Tech stacks (AWS/ GCP/ Azure)
- Knowledge of Operating Systems /Network Security fundamentals
Salary
$100,000 - $150,000 per year
