Description

In-Shop Detailing Technician

Production-Based Trade Role | 30–35% Commission | $70,000+ Potential

Onsite Detail (est. 2005) is one of Utah’s established vehicle protection companies. We specialize in high-level mobile detailing and surface protection services for clients who expect professionalism, consistency, and real results.

This is a physically demanding, production-based trade role.

It is not a car wash job. It is not temporary work.

We’re building disciplined technicians who want long-term income growth and real advancement.

Pay & Advancement:

  • 30% starting commission
  • Up to 35% for consistent high performers
  • Keep 100% of your tips
  • Top technicians earn $70,000+ per year
  • Clear path to Senior / Lead roles

This is performance-based income. Earnings can fluctuate seasonally, but technicians who stay consistent, move efficiently, and produce high-quality work earn strong income over time.

Long-Term Opportunity:

We promote from within.

Technicians who prove themselves can move into:

  • Senior / Lead Technician roles
  • Training and mentorship positions
  • Expanded responsibility as we grow
  • Potential future partnership opportunities for long-term high performers

Advancement is earned through performance, reliability, and leadership — not just time on the clock.

What This Role Requires:

  • Physical stamina (you’ll work outdoors year-round)
  • Accountability to production goals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional interaction with clients
  • Consistent attendance and reliability

This is skilled trade work. It takes discipline and pride in craftsmanship.

Who Typically Thrives Here:

  • Former athletes
  • Military backgrounds
  • Trade or construction workers
  • Hands-on individuals who prefer physical work over sitting behind a desk
  • People who want a skilled path with income growth

This May Not Be a Fit If You:

  • Want a relaxed hourly job
  • Struggle with attendance
  • Avoid physical labor
  • Are looking for something short-term

What You’ll Learn:

  • Professional mobile detailing systems
  • Proper surface prep and protection processes
  • Efficiency and workflow standards
  • Client communication and professionalism
  • A pathway into leadership

Please submit:

  • Your resume
  • A brief description of your work background
  • A short answer to this question:

“Why are you a strong fit for a physical, performance-based trade role?”

We’re looking for people who take pride in their work and want to build something long-term. Not just collect a paycheck.
