The Content Writer is a collaborative team player who writes high-quality content that helps engage and retain OneChild’s supporters. The individual has experience writing stewardship reports and other types of content such as marketing and training content. Works well with colleagues to understand project requests, collaborates well on changes throughout the process, and meets organizational objectives.

Essential Functions


WRITING EXPERTISE

  • Produces excellent writing that is on brand and meets teams’ expectations.
  • Understands the production process and can complete quality work on time from concept to finished piece.
  • Is proficient in tailoring content to specific audiences, formats, and platforms, and can adhere to brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Writes content for stewardship reports and helps write other training and marketing copy as needed.

  • Flexible; ability to adjust writing and future approaches based on colleagues’ feedback and results of marketing analytics.
  • Interest in new tools and innovative approaches, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Growing expertise in stewardship and marketing best practices, including audience engagement.
  • Proficient in editing content for grammar and clarity.

 

Education/Experience


  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proven track record of creating relevant high-quality, engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and ability to work within them.

 

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

The office is a hybrid work environment (3 days in-office/2 days remote). Multiple virtual and in-person meetings are required. The nature of the position involves light physical effort with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, along with extended periods of keyboarding, desk work and variable sitting and standing for extended durations.

Salary

$26 - $31 per hour
