Art Summer Camp Student Services Coordinator

One River School of Art + Design

Part-Time | $16–$18 per hour

One River School of Art + Design—whose mission is to transform art education—is seeking a Summer Camp Student Services Coordinator to join our creative team.

This position is ideal for college students interested in careers in the visual arts, art galleries, museums, or arts education. The role offers hands-on experience working in a professional art school and gallery environment, supporting both student programs and day-to-day gallery operations.

Our Summer Art Camp runs from mid-June through late August 2026, with both morning and afternoon shifts available.

You’ll work at the center of a vibrant creative community—interacting with students, families, instructors, and visitors while gaining exposure to arts programming, gallery presentation, and creative business operations.

What You’ll Do

As a Student Services Coordinator, you will help create a welcoming and professional experience for students and families while supporting the daily operations of the school.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming students and families and checking students into classes and summer camp programs
  • Answering phone and email inquiries from current and prospective families
  • Conducting tours of the school and explaining our art programs to prospective students
  • Supporting daily opening and closing procedures
  • Assisting with student enrollment, scheduling changes, and class makeups
  • Maintaining the gallery space and answering basic questions about student and professional artwork on display
  • Supporting instructors and staff during busy camp hours
  • Helping ensure students are safely dismissed to parents or guardians
  • Assisting with administrative projects related to enrollment, marketing, and student services

This role provides valuable exposure to how a contemporary art school and gallery operates, making it an excellent stepping stone for students exploring careers in the arts.

Who You Are

  • A college student pursuing a degree in Visual Arts, Art History, Arts Administration,  Museum Studies, Art Education, Marketing, or a related field
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with students, families, and visitors
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Passionate about art and interested in working in the arts sector

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a college degree (visual arts or arts-related field preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with basic administrative tasks and customer service
  • Some weekend availability required

Customer service or administrative experience is helpful, but we’re happy to train the right candidate.

Huge Plus If You Have Experience With

  • Graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop
  • Social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook 
  • Interest in gallery operations, museum education, or arts programming
