Position Overview:
One Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to oversee our Sarasota Clinic. The NP will serve as the primary healthcare provider for patients. The NP will manage clinical operations, provide direct patient care, and play a key role in the development of clinic protocols and programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community health, strong leadership skills, and expertise clinical operations.

Clinical Care: Provide high-quality primary care services, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of common acute and chronic conditions. Focus on preventive care and health promotion for individuals of all ages.

Patient Education: Educate patients on wellness, preventive care, chronic disease management, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques. Promote patient engagement in their health and treatment plans.

Care Coordination: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, specialists, and community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients with complex health needs. Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and medical interventions as necessary.

Supervision & Leadership: Lead and supervise clinical staff, including medical assistants. Ensure a supportive, team-oriented environment and provide guidance to enhance staff performance.

Clinic Operations: Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient, and compassionate manner. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation to maintain optimal clinic performance.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit reports on clinic activities, patient outcomes, and performance metrics to senior management.

Community Engagement: Actively engage with the local community to promote health education, preventive care, and access to primary care services. Participate in outreach initiatives and collaborate with community organizations to address public health needs.

Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in primary care, including new treatments, medical technologies, and industry best practices. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:

Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) and Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).

Experience: 0-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or a related field is preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active NP license in Florida.
- Certification in Family Practice, Adult Health, or related field preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Additional certifications in chronic disease management or preventive care (preferred but not required).
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.
- Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a clinical team.
- Ability to develop and implement clinical protocols and workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality improvement processes.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation.
