Olfactory NYC offers a unique, bespoke experience in personal scent creation - allowing guests to combine fine fragrance with their individuality! We partner with world-renowned perfumers and use the highest quality oils to create one-of-a-kind fragrances that are as unique as each one of us!

Our unique experience is changing luxury fragrance retail, and we’re looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead a team of passionate and outgoing retail associates (‘scent-tologists’) in delivering a best-in-class guest experience through our special scent-creation journey.


What You’ll Do:


As an Olfactory NYC Store Manager, you’ll set the tone for the energy and success of the store team. Your leadership will drive creativity, motivate your employees and create an energetic environment which will drive revenue and brand awareness. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):


  • Leading and supporting associates (Scent-tologists) in delivering the Olfactory guest experience while providing ongoing coaching and guidance as needed
  • Driving top-line sales to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets
  • Ensure adequate staffing with consistent recruiting and networking efforts, including hiring, training, and developing a customer-centric team
  • Managing the Visual Merchandising of the sales floor
  • Ensuring proper execution of company events (if applicable)
  • Protecting company assets and minimizing shrink and waste by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention
  • Regularly reviewing sales metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to improve and grow the business/brand
  • Creating and monitoring schedules and payroll hours on a weekly basis using key business reports and payroll tools to ensure payroll targets are met


What We’re Looking For:


  • A natural leader with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience with collaboration in different areas of the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Obsession with delivering best-in-class customer experience
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve sales growth
  • Prior experience managing a busy sales floor, being able to multi-task and prioritizing daily operations.
  • Ability to react under pressure and use good judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day
  • Bending and reaching to move product and inventory-ability to receive and stock merchandise
  • Can lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexible availability to work peak retail hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficient with Shopify POS systems & Google Suite programs a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years in retail/hospitality management position, or other relevant work experience
  • Prior knowledge/leadership experience in the beauty or fragrance industry is a plus!

Salary

$70,000 - $90,000 per year
