About Us

OLarry is shaping the future of tax by bringing together tax experts and technology leaders to create a tax practice that provides exceptional service supported by leading proprietary technology.

About the Role

As a Product Designer at OLarry, you will be central to our mission of delivering a world-class tax experience. You’ll lead design for both our customer-facing B2C interface and our internal CPA-facing tools, ensuring intuitive, beautiful, and effective interactions across the platform.

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone passionate about simplifying complex data and building design systems in fast-moving fintech environments. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations, contributing to everything from discovery and wireframes to production-ready design.  This role reports to the COO.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design process for both consumer and CPA-facing products.
  • Turn financial and tax data into clear, actionable interfaces for both lay users and professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and SME’s to shape features and user experiences.
  • Build and maintain design systems in Figma that scale across both product lines.
  • Incorporate AI tools and features (e.g., LLMs, intelligent suggestions, conversational UIs) into the product experience.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders across the company to define product requirements and weigh implementation options.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate based on feedback and data.
  • Help define product vision and strategy from a design perspective.
  • Design elegant, intuitive user experiences that convey trust, sophistication, and exclusivity.
  • Ensure every detail—from typography to animation—reinforces a premium brand experience.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in fintech, accounting, or tax-related tools.
  • Deep proficiency with Figma and modern design systems.
  • Experience designing for complex data workflows, ideally including financial or tax data.
  • Proven success designing both B2C and internal enterprise (B2B) tools.
  • Familiarity or hands-on work with AI-powered tools or interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to justify design decisions clearly.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI skills and process across end-to-end product design.
  • Experience designing for premium brands, luxury markets, or products targeting high-net-worth individuals.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a way that feels both accessible and high-touch.
  • A high level of EQ, personal drive, and professionalism that adheres to the OLarry Core Pillars.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Stock Options.
  • Healthcare Insurance - 100% coverage for the employee, 50% coverage for dependents.
  • Generous revenue sharing for all new business development.
  • We are committed to investing in your career by offering continuous training and support, ensuring you acquire new skills and opportunities.

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. OLarry Core Pillars

  • Personal Ownership: All team members of both the company and acquired CPAs will own a stake in the company. With this equity, an expectation of acting as an owner of their given area is expected.
  • Demonstrate Grit: All successful new ventures take time and determination. Team members are expected to be personally driven to succeed on the schedule required by the work and to put their short-term financial needs behind the company's long-term needs.
  • Collaboration Before Siloed Heroes: The strongest products are built by many minds with many viewpoints, not individuals. All team members must hold themselves to a high level of communication and cross-collaboration. No projects or products should be produced in a silo.
  • Work Backwards: Everything we do puts the customer at the heart. If the customer is happy, the revenue will come.
  • Market Validation: All products and processes should be tested and validated with the target customer before any major commitment to the project commences. All team members are responsible for talking to customers and understanding their needs.
  • Area Expertise: Each team member will be the given expert in their allotted part of any project, and knowledge will be deferred to as such.
  • Build the Brand: Every team member will be responsible for building the OLarry brand through social, sales, or customer support.
  • Long-term View with a Global Focus: Strategic decisions will be made with a company's first view for building long-term wealth globally before short-term personal gains or expenses.
  • Think Bootstrapped, not Funded: Team members will treat OLarry’s cash like their own, being careful only to spend it when a valid business case is presented and no market short—or long-term alternative is available.
