As the Financial Controller, you’ll manage the company’s financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and play a critical role in shaping Odulair’s financial strategy.

This position reports to the CFO and is located outside of Nashville, TN. Collaborates with sales, production, and executive teams to provide accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to the CFO and executive team.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments to support pricing strategies and operational efficiency.
• Lead annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and improve financial accuracy.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support daily operations and capital investments.
• Evaluate and recommend financial software and tools to streamline accounting processes.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as requested by senior management.
• Follow all safety regulations and best practices for finance operations.
• Other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 3+ years in a controller role.
• Proven track record of managing financial operations in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial managers.
• A can-do, positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment and Applications:

• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and financial modeling tools.

Work Environment Physical Demands:

• Primarily office-based with minimal travel.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a methodical approach.
• Compliance with Odulair's Health and Safety Policy and all relevant safety regulations is mandatory.
• Odulair conducts regular drug and alcohol testing as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
