Position Summary

As a Pilates instructor for Oasis Pilates, you will lead Pilates sessions that help clients improve strength, flexibility, and overall health. This part-time role requires availability for several evening shifts each week and one weekend shift per month. This position requires a strong understanding of Pilates principles, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to motivate clients.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Pilates Instruction: Leads several 50-minute Pilates classes weekly. Also works with clients in one-on-one sessions or two-on-one sessions, demonstrating proper form and technique while providing clear, concise instructions to clients. Adapts exercises to accommodate different fitness levels, injuries, and abilities.
  • Client Assessment: During private sessions, conducts comprehensive initial assessments of clients to evaluate their fitness levels, goals, and any special considerations or restrictions. 
  • Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use of the equipment. 
  • Conducts fitness consultations for new clients, including participation screening and goal setting through client value building sessions to recommend appropriate Pilates training programs.
  • Ensures that all members feel empowered, confident, and connected by providing superior customer experience. 
  • Reads, watches, and engages in all required trainings associated with the role. 
  • Leads by example and demonstrates both contemporary and classical Pilates principles.


Minimum Required Qualifications   

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pilates Certification recognized by the NCPT
  • Consents to and passes a criminal background check

 

Experience & Requirements:

  • Pilates Certification
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • In-depth knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, and physiology
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe studio environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

 

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

  • Certified Pilates Instructor through a comprehensive 450+ hour training program and meets minimum requirements as an instructor, as recognized by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in their Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) manual, other programs will only be considered if the instructor agrees to complete certification through a NCPT recognized program (ex: Balanced Body, Basi, Club Pilates Comprehensive that includes anatomy courses, Fletcher Pilates, Peak Pilates, STOTT).
  • CPR and AED Certified

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Additional Pilates and Fitness Certifications
  • 2+ years’ experience delivering Pilates sessions

$40 - $55 per hour
