This role is ideal for someone with live-event or nightlife security experience who is calm under pressure, skilled at de-escalation, and genuinely invested in protecting queer space. Success in this role means most problems are prevented before they begin, through awareness, communication, and care.

- Check IDs and verify age requirements for entry and alcohol service in accordance with venue policy and applicable law
- Track occupancy and help manage guest flow in line with venue capacity limits and fire code requirements
- Keep exits, aisles, and emergency routes clear and accessible at all times
- Coordinate with Box Office and Front of House staff on ticket scanning, guest lists, and re-entry procedures

- Support guests who need assistance, including those who are overserved, unwell, or in distress, and coordinate with Front of House staff as needed
- Respond promptly and professionally to altercations, medical emergencies, harassment reports, and other incidents
- Contact emergency services when necessary and assist first responders on arrival
- Complete clear, accurate incident reports after each event and share them with the Front of House Manager promptly
