Mango Cannabis is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our Rochester, New York team. This position is primarily delivery-focused, with the core responsibility of safely and efficiently delivering cannabis products to our customers. While there may be instances where in-store assistance is needed, this role is designed first and foremost for delivery operations.
This position requires availability to close every shift Wednesday through Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Dependability, strong time management, and comfort working independently are critical to success in this role.
Delivery Driver Duties:
- Safely and efficiently deliver cannabis products to customers at designated addresses, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Verify customer identification and applicable documentation at the point of delivery.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly follow all traffic and safety regulations.
- Securely transport cannabis products, ensuring proper handling and compliance during transit.
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional, courteous, and positive interactions during deliveries.
- Manage delivery routes and schedules to ensure deliveries are completed within assigned timeframes.
- Accurately collect payments and process transactions when required.
- Operate and maintain a company-provided delivery vehicle in a clean and responsible manner.
- Follow all New York State cannabis delivery regulations and company delivery protocols.
Budtender Duties (AS NEEDED):
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Stay informed about the latest cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods to provide the best recommendations.
- Verify customer identification and medical cards for in-store purchases.
- Educate customers on the safe and proper use of cannabis products.
- Accurately weigh, package, and label cannabis products as per store protocols.
- Process sales transactions using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dispensary.
- Help manage inventory and ensure products are properly stocked and displayed.
- Comply with all state regulations set forth by New York's Office of Cannabis Management (OCM).
Experience
- Previous delivery or customer service experience required; cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be comfortable driving a company-provided vehicle.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during delivery shifts.
- Must be reliable and comfortable working closing shifts Wednesday through Sunday (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM).
- Ability to adapt to occasional in-store assistance when required.
- Must comply with all New York State cannabis regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
