Part-Time Maintenance Technician — Live-In Housing Benefit

We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on maintenance technician to live at Somerset Place and help keep the apartment community clean, safe, and well maintained. This part-time role includes preparing apartments for new residents, completing routine work orders, and cleaning and maintaining common areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for new residents, including cleaning, painting, patching, and basic repairs
• Respond to resident work orders and communicate about repair status
• Clean and maintain hallways, common areas, and other shared spaces
• Perform routine upkeep and promptly report larger repairs or safety concerns
• Keep work areas and maintenance supplies organized

Qualifications

• Practical experience with apartment maintenance, cleaning, painting, or general repairs
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
• Professional and courteous when interacting with residents
• Able to perform the physical tasks required for apartment turns and cleaning

Compensation and schedule

Compensation includes either free rent or rent credits for an apartment at the property. The specific arrangement, work schedule, and expected weekly hours will be agreed upon in advance and documented in writing. The role does not include 24/7 availability unless separately agreed.
