Description

HR Generalist will manage daily human resource operations, acting as a broad point of contact for employees and management. Key responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. They will maintain personnel records and implement company policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Hiring: Managing job postings, screening resumes, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Employee Relations: Acting as the primary point of contact for employee queries, resolving conflicts, and managing disciplinary actions.
  • Benefits & Payroll: Administering health insurance, retirement plans, and assisting with payroll processing.
  • Compliance & Records: Maintaining employee files and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FMLA, OSHA).
  • Performance Management: Assisting with performance evaluation cycles and training. 


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: Usually 3-5+ years in HR roles.
  • Skills: Strong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Technical: Proficiency with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and organizational skills. 


Common Qualifications

  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is often preferred


Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year
