$3,200 – $3,700 per week

Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking experienced IMCU/PCU Registered Nurses for a high-demand travel assignment in Upstate New York. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses experienced in stepdown/intermediate care with exposure to cardiac, neuro, and respiratory cases.

Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed: 48 hours/week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekend/holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to stepdown/intermediate acuity patients
• Manage cardiac, neuro, trauma, and respiratory conditions
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment (A-lines, Bipap, chest tubes, temp pacers)
• Provide care for chronic ventilated patients (RT support available)
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
• Float to other units as needed

Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• Minimum 2+ years IMCU/PCU experience
• Travel experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA) required
• EPIC experience required
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patients

• 64-bed unit (15 Neuro-designated beds)
• Adult patient population
• Common diagnoses:
• COPD, DKA, Sepsis
• MI, CV Stepdown
• Post-operative cases
