Location: Utica, NY

Start Date: November and December 2026

Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 per week

Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Travel IMCU RN for a 13-week assignment in Utica, NY. This position is ideal for an RN with strong Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience. Candidates must have 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience and previous travel nursing experience documented on their resume.

Weekly Take Home: $2,600

Unit Details

• Unit Type: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds
• Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
• Common Diagnoses: Neurological, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV Stepdown, and post-operative patients
• Specialty Equipment: Temporary Pacemakers, Chest Tubes, Arterial Lines (A-lines), BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
• Ventilator Experience: Chronic ventilator patients who are unable to be weaned; Respiratory Therapy available for assistance
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Floating: Required as needed

Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• No on-call requirement
• Work Week: Sunday – Saturday

Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• Minimum 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience
• Previous travel nursing experience documented on resume
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Current AHA ACLS Certification
• Current NIHSS Certification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current specialty-specific skills checklist matching IMCU/PCU
• NURSYS license verification report including Active NY RN License and all RN licenses held
• Current resume documenting IMCU/PCU and travel nursing experience
• RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission
• Valid driver's license with address matching candidate demographics
