Pleasanton, California

Full-Time Leadership Opportunity


NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced healthcare leader to oversee the operations of a high-performing ambulatory surgical environment in Pleasanton, California. This is an outstanding opportunity for an administrator with strong operational, financial, and physician relationship management experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and driving organizational excellence.


Compensation

$130,000 - $180,000 annually

Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.


Position Summary

The Surgery Center Administrator will provide executive oversight for facility operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, staffing strategies, and physician engagement. This leader will work closely with clinical leadership, medical staff, governing boards, and corporate partners to ensure operational excellence and long-term success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day facility operations
  • Oversee administrative, business, and clinical support functions
  • Manage operating budgets, capital planning, and financial performance
  • Analyze P&L statements and address operational variances
  • Develop staffing plans and workforce strategies
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and safety requirements
  • Support physician recruitment, engagement, credentialing, and retention
  • Manage vendor and service agreements
  • Drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Monitor operational metrics and performance outcomes
  • Identify growth opportunities and service line expansion initiatives
  • Collaborate with governing boards and medical staff leadership


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of healthcare leadership experience
  • Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) or surgical services leadership
  • Strong financial management and budgeting experience
  • Experience reviewing and managing P&L performance
  • Proven physician relationship management experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred

  • Multi-site or surgery center leadership experience
  • Experience with physician recruitment and development
  • Experience leading accreditation and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Strategic planning and operational improvement expertise
