RN PACU (Day Shift)

Location: Edmond, OK (73013)

Position Type: Full-Time, Day Shift

About the Facility

NurseAmerica is recruiting a dedicated PACU RN for a physician-owned, 18-bed hospital facility in Edmond, OK. This facility holds a 4.9-star Google rating, outstanding Press-Ganey ratings, and operates a low-volume Level 4 ER (~30 visits/month), allowing post-op nurses to deliver targeted, individualized recovery care.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

• Deliver post-anesthesia care to surgical patients transitioning through Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery.
• Monitor airway management, hemodynamic status, vital signs, and surgical site integrity.
• Manage acute post-operative pain, nausea, and sedation levels under physician protocols.
• Provide detailed post-op education and discharge planning to patients and family members.

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma or Compact RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU, ICU, or high-acuity surgical recovery settings.

Compensation, Ratios & Benefits

• Target Pay: $40.00 – $46.00 / hour.
• Strict Care Ratios: Focused 1:1 to 1:2 post-anesthesia recovery ratios.
• Incentives: Hiring bonus possible; Relocation bonus up to $5,000; Referral bonus up to $500.
