NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient phone triage role in Oswego, New York. This is a great opportunity for nurses looking for a consistent weekday schedule in a lower-acuity setting.

Assignment Details

• Location: Oswego, NY
• Specialty: Outpatient / Primary Care
• Role Focus: Phone Triage
• Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
• Contract Length: 8–13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• EMR: Meditech
• On-Call: None

Job Responsibilities

• Perform phone triage assessments and provide clinical guidance
• Respond to patient concerns and determine appropriate care level
• Document all patient interactions accurately in EMR
• Occasionally assist with:
• Rooming patients
• Administering injections
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
• Strong communication and triage skills
• Experience in outpatient, clinic, or primary care preferred
• Comfortable with phone-based patient interaction

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) required
