$95,000 – $130,000 annually ($45.67–$62.50/hr), based on experience

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established, multi-site outpatient oncology and hematology practice serving patients across Maryland, is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join their care team at the Rockville, MD location. This is an outpatient-based role delivering advanced radiation treatment in a collaborative, physician-led environment — with access to modern equipment and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely under physician direction
  • Position patients and operate treatment equipment (e.g., linear accelerator) with precision to ensure correct dose delivery
  • Verify treatment plans, prescriptions, and daily setup against physician orders prior to each treatment
  • Monitor patients throughout treatment for comfort, safety, and any signs of adverse reaction
  • Maintain accurate, timely treatment records and documentation in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff as part of the care team
  • Adhere to all radiation safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (or registry-eligible)
  • Active Maryland state licensure (or eligible to obtain)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
  • Prior clinical experience in an outpatient or hospital-based radiation oncology setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and patient-facing communication skills
