Available Shifts
- Part-Time Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (2–3 days per week)
- Part-Time Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (2–3 days per week)
- Per Diem: All shifts available
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Supervise, prepare, and accurately assist residents with self-administration of prescribed medications. Organize medication carts for maximum safety and efficiency.
- Clinical Supervision: Coordinate daily resident care delivery and assist the Director of Nursing in setting high standards of clinical excellence.
- Resident Assessment: Interview and examine residents to monitor health status or behavioral changes; recommend care plan adjustments as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential resident records, including medication administration records (MARs) and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Assist physicians during examinations, manage follow-up appointments, and clearly communicate care plans to families and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Current, active New York State LPN License.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar clinical nursing role; a background in retirement living, assisted living, or home care is highly preferred.
- Communication: Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. Excellent verbal skills and a warm, positive attitude are required.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills for electronic medical charting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend at the waist, and lift/carry objects weighing over 25 lbs.
- Compliance: Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
