About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established, multi-site outpatient oncology and hematology practice serving patients across Maryland, is seeking a Hospital-Based Advanced Practice Provider to support inpatient oncology/hematology consults and rounding at a partner hospital in the Columbia, MD area. This role is ideal for an APP who enjoys the pace and acuity of hospital-based practice while remaining connected to a larger, physician-led oncology group.


Key Responsibilities

  • Round on and manage hospitalized oncology and hematology patients in coordination with supervising physicians
  • Perform admission histories and physicals, daily progress notes, and discharge planning
  • Respond to inpatient consults and provide timely clinical assessments
  • Participate in a shared call rotation, including weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
  • Communicate closely with outpatient care teams to ensure continuity of care after discharge
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record


Qualifications

  • Active NP or PA license in the state of Maryland (or eligible to obtain)
  • Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies
  • Prior hospital-based, acute care, or inpatient oncology/hematology experience strongly preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Comfortable managing higher-acuity patients and working independently within a collaborative care model
