We are looking for a candidate with strong interest in transportation planning or engineering with an aptitude towards problem solving, critical thinking and interest towards learning a variety of skills related to transportation. Candidates will have an excellent opportunity to be involved in various stages of projects. The position is based in Austin area.

Qualifications and experience

·        Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in urban planning, transportation engineering or related field

·        Interest in the field of transportation planning/engineering

·        Aptitude towards problem solving and analytical analysis

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Proficiency in GIS, Excel and Adobe Creative Suite

·        Experience with coding and data analysis preferred

·        Interest and/or experience in economic analysis preferred

·        Ability to work independently as well as in teams

Responsibilities

·        Work with project team members on a variety of planning tasks

·        Research and summarize planning documents

·        Engages in client meetings and public meetings as needed

·        Develops graphics and PowerPoint presentations

·        Writes reports and technical memos for planning projects

·        Performs other duties as assigned
