Novella Women’s Health is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our growing specialty women’s health practice. This role is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who is committed to delivering high-quality imaging while creating a calm, respectful, and supportive experience for patients.
The Sonographer will perform a variety of gynecologic and breast ultrasound examinations, including pelvic, transvaginal, and targeted breast imaging, in accordance with established protocols and physician guidance. Responsibilities include obtaining accurate diagnostic images, documenting findings, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout each examination.
This position requires both strong technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills, as many patients may be experiencing pain, anxiety, or sensitive health concerns. The ideal candidate is professional, empathetic, and able to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and a reassuring presence.
The Sonographer will collaborate closely with the physician and clinical team to support timely diagnosis and coordinated care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining quality assurance standards, managing image documentation within the electronic medical record and imaging systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements. In a small, collaborative practice environment, team members may occasionally assist with limited administrative or operational tasks to support a seamless patient experience. This is a daytime, outpatient-only position focused exclusively on gynecologic care. The practice does not provide obstetric services, call coverage, or hospital-based responsibilities. Team members work in a supportive, physician-led environment with a smaller team structure, streamlined workflows, and a strong emphasis on respectful communication, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
At Novella Women’s Health, we prioritize listening, trust, and whole-person care. Team members are expected to contribute to a culture of kindness, accountability, teamwork, and excellence while helping deliver high-quality care to every patient.
