Nota Consulting is seeking an experienced M&A Program Manager to lead complex mergers, acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs, and value creation initiatives for our clients. This role is responsible for managing enterprise-wide programs from transaction close through execution, partnering with executive leadership to deliver integrations, separations, TSA management, synergy realization, and operational transformation. The ideal candidate has a strong consulting background, exceptional program management skills, and experience leading cross-functional M&A programs across Finance, HR, Technology, Operations, Legal, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions. Description

Responsibilities

Program Leadership

  • Lead complex M&A integration, carve-out, divestiture, and business transformation programs from planning through execution.
  • Establish and manage Integration Management Offices (IMO), Program Management Offices (PMO), and governance structures to drive successful program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and critical path activities across multiple functional workstreams.
  • Drive Day 1 readiness, Day 100 planning, TSA exits, and long-term integration milestones.

Integration & Carve-Out Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams including Finance, HR, Legal, Technology, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, and Shared Services.
  • Manage Transition Service Agreement (TSA) planning, governance, execution, and exit activities.
  • Facilitate separation planning for carve-outs, ensuring business continuity while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Identify and proactively manage interdependencies across functional teams.

Value Creation & Transformation

  • Support value creation initiatives focused on synergy realization, cost savings, operational improvements, organizational redesign, and process optimization.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and accelerated value capture.
  • Monitor program KPIs and benefits realization to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.

Executive Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic program management guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Lead executive steering committee meetings, governance forums, and program reviews.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, status reports, RAID logs, and decision materials.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to drive accountability, resolve risks, and maintain program momentum.

Consulting & Business Development

  • Provide program management and strategic consulting support across client engagements.
  • Contribute to Nota Consulting's business development activities, proposal development, thought leadership, and internal initiatives.
  • Mentor junior consultants and help establish delivery best practices.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program management, consulting, or M&A integration experience.
  • Commercial consulting experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading one or more of the following:
  • M&A integrations
  • Corporate carve-outs and divestitures
  • Transition Service Agreement (TSA) management
  • Integration Management Office (IMO) or Program Management Office (PMO) leadership
  • Value creation or operational transformation programs
  • Strong experience building and maintaining integrated project plans using project management software (Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar).
  • Experience managing executive governance, steering committees, and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Prosci or other Organizational Change Management certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with private equity portfolio companies is highly desirable.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, technology, or business services experience is preferred.
