Role Overview

Nota Consulting is seeking a disciplined, tech-savvy Operations & Strategy Intern. This role is designed for a self-starter who thrives on autonomy while building the digital infrastructure that moves a consulting firm forward. You will work directly with leadership on internal strategy, creative assets, and business development, while also gaining direct exposure to high-level client engagements.

Core Responsibilities

  • System Optimization & Knowledge Management: Update current company use cases and create templates of past deliverables to improve firm efficiency.
  • Creative Asset Design: Produce professional Canva images and visual content for LinkedIn posts and digital branding.
  • Strategic Market Research: Perform business development research for potential clients and industry partners.
  • M&A & Consulting Exposure: Assist with projects related to Mergers & Acquisitions, including carveouts, cost savings, and synergies.
  • Executive Shadowing: Attend and shadow client meetings featuring CFOs, CIOs, and other senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • Self-Directed: Able to take a high-level prompt and "move the needle" independently with minimal oversight.
  • Tech-Fluent: Highly comfortable with Canva, digital tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Professionalism: Prepared to engage with senior leadership and observe high-stakes client interactions.
  • Reliable: Can commit to a schedule totaling at least 220 hours over the course of the internship.

Learning Objectives

  • Mastery of Canva for professional image production.
  • Introduction to client interaction within the energy and consulting sectors.
  • Fundamental understanding of M&A activities, including carveouts and synergies.
  • Insight into the day-to-day operations and business development of a consulting firm.

Logistics

  • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship focused on professional development and portfolio building.
  • Timeline: Approximately 10 weeks (e.g., June to August).
  • Hours: Requirement of at least 220 total hours.
