Summary:

The Patient Coordinator/Treatment Coordinator is a vital member of the Northpoint Dental team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role involves a combination of administrative tasks, patient interaction, and treatment coordination.



Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the daily patient schedule.
  • Check patients in and out, verifying insurance information and collecting payments.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record system.

Treatment Coordination:

  • Present and explain treatment plans to patients, including costs and insurance coverage.
  • Obtain informed consent for treatment and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies to verify benefits and obtain pre-authorizations.
  • Coordinate specialist referrals and other care related tasks.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and track patient progress.
  • Assist with financial arrangements and payment plans.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain a clean and organized front office area.
  • Order and manage office supplies.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental or medical office setting preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
