NorthNode Group Counseling is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) for our Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) program which provides medication-assisted treatment along with counseling and case management services. The clinician will provide ongoing assessment, intakes, evaluations, and support services to opioid dependent patients. The clinician will also provide group and/or individual therapy. The clinician will provide expertise to providers and others regarding the treatment plan in conjunction with the medical needs of these patients. This clinician will also collaborate with team members and the patient with making outside referrals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with complex addiction and substance related health conditions.
- Conduct ASAM assessments
- Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services.
- Provide initial behavioral health evaluation, group and/or individual therapy for opioid-addicted patients.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment and treatment planning process through participation in daily reports, case reviews, and treatment team meetings.
- Facilitate evening or day Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
- Provide individual and group counseling using Evidence Based Practices.
- Maintain frequent contact with patients’ medical providers in order to provide comprehensive care.
- Make referrals to outside addiction treatment programs or other supports as needed.
- Provide ongoing education and support of patients receiving opioid treatment medications.
- Provide follow up care in person and via telephone when needed.
- Conduct urinalysis screenings.
- Completes appropriate documentation with excellent record keeping done in a timely fashion.
- Obtain billing authorizations in a timely fashion.

Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC )
- Credentialed with DSAMH
- Experience managing complex substance use disorders.
- Ability to work with patients with dual or multiple disorders who also have complex medical and social issues.
- Ability to develop relationships with network and community physicians and other providers.
- Knowledge of community and health resources, particularly addiction related resources and supports.
- Sensitivity to ethnic, cultural, gender, beliefs and behaviors
- Spanish Language skills highly preferred.
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- Computer literate and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
