Lena Rose is a holistic spa and shop where the person on the table matters more than the service on the menu. We're a W-2, non-tipping, clean-beauty spa with two homes, Lincoln Square in Chicago and downtown Naperville. We're looking for a licensed esthetician at our Naperville spa who cares for guests in cancer treatment, guests with sensitivities, and guests who just need one quiet hour.

The schedule

Part-time: Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, every week. Weekends are our busiest days, so all three days are required.

What you'll do

• Facials and peels, body treatments, sugaring and waxing of every area, and lash lifts and tints, all to our written protocols and time windows.

• Consent-first consultations: allergies and sensitivities asked every time, and honest advice about what the skin is ready for.

• A written at-home plan for every guest, products recommended, and every guest rebooked before checkout.

• A treatment room that's always ready for the next human.

Non-negotiables

• A current Illinois Esthetician license. Bring it to the interview.

• Available every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

• Confident hands-on skill across facials and hair removal, and willingness to learn sugaring and our body rituals if they are new to you.

• Punctual, reliable and calm on the floor.

• Open to feedback and to protocols that may differ from where you trained.

• Comfortable with a non-tipping, W-2 model where pay grows with tenure and performance.

This role is not a fit if

• You need tips to feel paid.

• You can't commit to every weekend.

• You want to sell your own products or services to our guests.

• You find protocols confining rather than freeing.

• You're uncomfortable caring for people in treatment or with sensitivities.

How we hire (so you know what to expect)

1) Your resume and a written answer to the question below.

2) A 15-minute phone screen.

3) An in-person interview.

4) A paid working interview: one facial or sugaring service on a model at our spa.

5) Reference checks.

• $20/hour to start (every Rose starts as an Apprentice), growing with tenure to $27/hour, plus 2–10% commission on all your sales through our Rose Rate.

Physical requirements

This is a hands-on, on-the-floor role. You should be able to stand and move for most of a shift; bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 40 lbs to deliver services and reset rooms; and have the manual dexterity to use all tools and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
