We’re a fast-growing, ag and food-focused agency with an incredible roster of clients and we’re seeking to grow our Creative Team. Our fast-growing boutique agency is looking for a Junior Copywriter. You are a disciplined wordsmith — marrying creativity, organization, and a process-oriented mindset together in one. You can pick up on brand identity and tone. You are able to work within it to rethink, rework, and repurpose— effectively bringing ideas to life. You excel at developing compelling copy and can establish cohesive branding across a variety of mediums including print, digital, social, and beyond. You strive for and achieve copy perfection. On any given day, you move seamlessly from one project to another, prioritizing tasks, and in communication and partnership with your team — all with the goal of bringing fresh thinking and interesting copy to every assignment. You will work closely with the Creative Director and our team of writers, designers, strategists, and client services partners to deliver smart and creative solutions for clients in the ag, food-ingredient, and wine categories.

Job Location:

  • This is a 100% remote position, but not virtual. For team collaboration and bonding reasons, the candidate will ideally be located in one of the following cities:  Sacramento, CA; Turlock, CA (headquarters); Los Angeles, CA; or Columbus, OH. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling copy for a variety of marketing projects, including print and digital ads, social media posts, email campaigns, newsletters and more.
  • Collaborate with the design team and Creative Director to develop wow-worthy and impactful creative that follows the brief and executes the strategy.
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
  • Work with other team members to develop and implement marketing strategies that effectively communicate the brand's message and values.
  • Have a creative POV to share with internal teams and feel comfortable supporting in client presentations.
  • Balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Assist with other marketing tasks as needed as well as administrative duties that contribute to agency operations i.e. timesheets, expense management, etc.

What You’ll Bring/Qualifications:

  • Compelling portfolio with a range of creative projects that include a strong understanding of voice, clarity and originality. 
  • Mastery of writing fundamentals, grammar, style and best practices. 
  • Experience in working within a brand voice and adhering to brand style guides.
  • Self-starter mentality who can take initiative, bring new ideas to the table and stay nimble to change.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Mailchimp, WordPress, Ai and are a big plus.  
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring that direction or feedback is implemented correctly with precision, dedication, and a high-quality standard.
  • Strong communication skills, enthusiasm and passion for the power of the written word.
  • 1-2 years experience in copywriting, journalism, or other related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing or other related field.


$65,000 - $75,000 per year
